Education Facilities

Our work on the Medford Higher Education building project for a new 68,000 sq.ft. building containing classrooms, science labs, computer labs, offices, conference rooms, an auditorium, bookstore, and a coffee shop.   A rooftop photovoltaic system is currently being designed which is projected to improve the project status to LEED Platinum.

The sub-basement, basement, first and second floors of the 15 story facility were renovated.  The sub-basement is used as a parking garage and mechanical/electrical space.  The basement is used as classrooms, labs, storage, mechanical and electrical space.  The first floor was completely renovated with a commercial kitchen, dining facility, student lounge and entry lobby.  The second floor was renovated for classrooms.   The renovated space was approximately 50,000 sq ft.  The renovation was designated a State Energy Efficient Design (SEED) project.

The 15,000 square foot facility is on the Historic Registry and is located on the PSU campus.  The first and second floors consist of day care classrooms and offices.  The third floor was reconditioned and was used for office space.  The renovation was designated a SEED (State Energy Efficient Design) project, which requires that the facility energy use is 20% below Code minimum.
