Our work on the Medford Higher Education building project for a new 68,000sf building containing classrooms, science labs, computer labs, offices, conference rooms, an auditorium, bookstore, and a coffee shop. The project achieved LEED Platinum Certification and was a designated SEED project. |
The sub-basement, basement, first and second floors of the 15 story facility were renovated. The sub-basement is used as a parking garage & mechanical/electrical space. The basement is used as classrooms, labs, storage, mechanical and electrical space. The first floor was completely renovated with a commercial kitchen, dining facility, student lounge and entry lobby. The second floor was renovated for classrooms. The renovated space was approximately 50,000sf. The renovation was designated a State Energy Efficient Design (SEED) project. |

The renovation of the 4 story historic Willamette Block building included several energy conservation measures. The energy conservation measures implemented included radiant panels with dedicated outside air, water side economizer, heat recovery wheel, and lighting daylighting controls. This project achieved LEED Gold Certification. |
We provided Energy Modeling services for this project which included high efficiency lighting, occupancy sensors beyond those required by code, daylighting controls in exterior office spaces, low-flow automatic fume hoods to vary exhaust and supply flow based on sash position, high efficiency supply and exhaust fans, high efficiency, high turn-down boilers and increased heating hot water loop temperature difference to increase condensing boiler efficiency. |
