Today's mechanical, electrical, and control systems utilize thousands of separate parts, manufactured by hundreds of different manufacturers, installed by several different trades. It takes a skilled professional, adept at all facets of the design and construction process, to ensure that the complete system meets and operates according to the design intent.
The commissioning process ensures that systems operate at their highest efficiency, as intended by design. The process of commissioning includes testing and balancing, tuning control loops, point-to-point wiring verification, and testing of safety and backup systems. We have hands-on experience in performing start-up service for systems of all types, ranging from large central chilled water plants, HVAC systems serving communication and data centers, to schools and commercial buildings. Below is a sample of some of the services we provide:
Central Chilled Water Plants and Distribution Systems We have strong experience working with complex chilled water distribution systems. This includes chilled water plants with multiple sites cross-tied or looped. Our staff has designed and commissioned various types and arrangements of chilled water plants, with multiple pumping systems. We fully understand the complexity of the controls and instrumentation needed to operate chilled water systems and plants at peak efficiency.
HVAC Commissioning and Start-Up With our strong background in testing, balancing, start-up, and system troubleshooting, we are uniquely qualified to provide commissioning services for any type of facility or HVAC system. Our staff understands how complex systems operate and how various pieces of the system can be isolated, tested, and adjusted to ensure that the entire system is performing at its peak efficiency.
Energy Management Controls and Building Automation
Our staff is knowledgeable and experienced with all types and brands (Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, CSI, SIBE, and ESUSA/Nex-Sys, etc.) of control systems. From the simplest pneumatic or relay logic control scheme, to the most complicated direct digital control system, we provide design, troubleshooting, sequence interrogation, and commissioning services for communication, industrial, commercial, and data center clients.
Electrical Systems Projects that our staff has been involved with include stand-by and emergency power systems, power conditioning, and uninterruptible power systems.
